Juan Carlos’ Party Bus

Filed under: Mexico, Kids - Gabriela @ 4:43 pm

Here’s a little somthing funny.  This is the business card of the bus driver from Juan Carlos’s little school:

business card

I would be worried, but lots of families from the US Embassy send their kids there, and I know the Embassy has checked this guy out.

And a question: how are all my friends over at Blogger doing? Has it gotten any better?  I really miss seeing peoples’ pictures next to their comments and I am thinking about going back, but only if things have improved.  Are there the same kind of problems with comments?  Thanks for your imput.

  1. Funny you should ask about comments. I just noticed this week that some comment boxes are saying to log in with blogger or google signons, whereas before they were saying my beta signon could only be used on beta blogs. Maybe Blogger is actually still working on beta like they say they are?

  2. “Mini Bus Executive”. That’s a great title.
I noticed you introduced him as “bus driver” and I think he’d be deeply hurt by that :D
I don’t know if Blogger is any better, after watching a lot of people having problem with “Evil Beta” I just stayed away from it.
Besides, you should be happy you can’t see my horrortar (which I have modified to make it less “freaky”).

  3. What I find intriguing is that he’s a “children’s bus barman and chef.” Is this some kind of strange Mexican tradition - there’s this little bus that goes around with a fully-stocked bar and gourmet eatery, for children? Traveling the countryside? What are Mexico’s drinking laws like? Are children later found lying pell-mell in the streets, reeking of alcohol and garlic, after a meet-up with “The Bus”?

Oh, the perils of the overactive imagination.

  4. The next time you have a children’s party, you know who to call! That can be pretty nifty; only one person in charge of carpool, food and beverage!

  5. NCS: I know, I bet it would offend him, he being an “executive” and all! Your “horrotar” has improved, but her teeth still creep me out-it looks just like when Margarita’s big teeth were just about to come though. Painful.

Millie: He does get off the bus in a pretty good mood, a little too good if you ask me.

K-squared’s mom: Hi!! I’d never thought of that! Excellent idea.

  7. The bus driver/chef/barman sounds interesting to say the least….frankly I’d be semi-impressed by the fact that he HAS a business card albeit a little “over the top”. I’ve been picturing the business card our driver might have judging by what I know of him…..

As for Blogger, I have my own issues with them but not of the beta sort, I do miss having you at your old home … I need to change my link to your site and make it easy on myself : )

  8. I re-read the “Children’s Bus Barman and Chef” several times (his is just fascinating to me).
Anyways, would you go back to Blogger? how do you like it here? is it easier to use? One thing I like about blogsome is the “categories” section.

I miss seeing your picture when you leave comments, your cool backgorunds and I’m used to the other template.
    Have a great day amiga.

  9. I love it- thats one classy bus guy- I mean he takes it to a whole new level- really one thing i have learned is the clientle/expertise/variety of services offered of bus drivers is far more utilized in other countries- and tell them not to come to the Us- no one tips drivers here

  10. wow, I’m impressed that your kids get to go to such a great school that even has a bus driver! I bet you guys could do some serious networking at school parties.

  11. Wow Minibus Executive? Bus Barman and Chef??? Are you sure you moved to big town and not bizarro world?

Then again a person might need a good martini after spending the day driving a school bus! Or perhaps if you think pre-emptively, if you gave one to the kids on boarding they’d be much quieter… ;)
